Pet Semetary: Bloodlines (Paramount+)
Director: Lindsey Anderson BeerProduction Designer: Adam Scher
I handled some graphic design for props, set decorations, & show vehicles in this prequel film based on Steven King’s Pet Semetary. The story is set in 1969, which gave me a great opportunity to emulate the aesthetics of the era.
One of the hero props was a fake beer brand called Old Club. Using an antique beer case sourced from eBay, I recreated the die-cut cardboard packaging with custom graphics.
The beer can design itself was featured prominently in several scenes, including being left as a tribute on the antagonist’s father’s grave.
The hero show vehicle was a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, hand-painted with custom graphics for the main character. I also did an antique Volkswagen Westfalia designed to look hand-painted while actually wrapped in die-cut vinyl decals.
I also worked on a range of miscellaneous graphics: memorial plaques, war medal displays, a stubby beer label, hockey rink signage, religious murals, & plenty of old photographs.
