Artist - Designer

Hi, I’m Reid! I’m an artist + designer based in Montréal, Québec ︎

I’ve been making art my entire life & working professionally for nearly two decades. I spent my early adult years in Toronto, earning a BFA in Printmaking from OCADU. During that time, I co-founded an artist-run store in Kensington Market & created a performance art event that ran for 8 installments, featuring over 40 different performers. I also worked a variety of glamorous jobs — from clothing retail, poutine-making, dishwashing & bus-boying, to screenprinting, picture framing, art installation, & more.

In 2013, I said, “That’s enough of this place,” & moved to Montréal. Over the past decade (plus a few years), I’ve continued working in print while branching further into digital spaces through graphic design & video. Around 2019, I shifted into full-time freelance work as a creative.

When it comes to making tasty treats for brains & eyeballs, I’m your guy.  ;)

I work fluently across Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, & After Effects — tools I use daily in my digital practice.

If you’d like to work together, I’d love to chat! You can get in touch with me here.

Outside of my wonderful freelance work, I keep plenty busy!

I produce the clothing line DieDye.Co, make comics under the pseudonym Ryan the Wretch, & co-created the printmaking game Corps Exquis.

On Fridays, I work as the laser engraving technician at Atelier Circulaire, a historic co-op printmaking studio located in the Mile-End. I also teach annual workshops on linocut & laser engraving printmaking techniques.

Other than that... I just sort of exist! :P
